AEGON Capital Management Inc. ("ACM") was formerly the Investment Management Division of Transamerica Life Insurance Company of Canada. In 1998, a dedicated team of professionals began to actively manage the assets of the Insurance Company. On January 29, 2002, AEGON Capital Management Inc. was created as a wholly owned subsidiary of AEGON Canada leveraging the strong track record achieved by the Investment Division. This provided ACM the global network of the parent company, AEGON N.V., a Dutch Insurance company operating in 16 countries with over $340 billion (USD) in assets.

ACM's investment professionals are located in Toronto, with the connection to the global AEGON investment operations. Our investment approach focuses on detailed fundamental research in managing equity, fixed income or income trust portfolios. Meeting senior management of potential investments and focusing on the balance sheet and income statement is the cornerstone of our research process. ACM's Risk Management Process provides each Client with appropriate portfolio diversification ensuring strict adherence to investment guidelines.

ACM provides investment management services to pension funds, mutual funds, corporate accounts and high net worth clients. As of June 30, 2008, assets under management totaled $9.1 billion (CDN).
